This period was about reconnecting with my trade of youth work. I worked across multiple programs from Adolescent Family Violence through Kinship care to Leaving care my objective was to gain a greater understanding of the Child protection system and how this Institutionalised response impacted across generations.


Always my focus was on supporting young people and families to make positive life choices and engage with supports that will enable them to heal and move forward.


During my time at CAFS I constantly and consistently worked within complex systems across multi-agency partnerships and with funding bodies and networks.

  • Designed with partners and ultimately delivered a Bachelor Degree to community members in a range of locations across Victoria that gave over 300 people an opportunity to attend University, many were the first in family to do so.
  • Planned, executed, created content, taught, supported students and actively engaged with community partners all across the state whilst ensuring the program complied with University requirements and Academic standards.
  • Provided team with coaching and direction.
  • Recruited, hired and supervised resources to staff project team.

  • Created and led a diverse team of incredible people who were committed to challenging the root causes of disadvantage in the Delacombe Public Housing community through the provision of high level support, engagement and education for all.
  • Created a Social Enterprise to employ local people, inject income into community and reinvest surplus created in Education for Community
  • Built productive relationships with industry partners and competitors to support families in need.
  • Cultivated forward-thinking, inclusive and family centred practices to lead industry in innovation and push progress.
