My role currently is a contract position to assist in integrating current operations of the company with their ERP and to assist with changing the culture of the business to bring accountability and efficiency to day to day operations. Position required a full review of company resources, government legislation, staff expertise and overall company capability for the development of an implementation plan for the change. Presently assisting Managing Director and Managers with training and education projects for staff. Also assisted with writing of budgets and analysis of P&L reports to assist with targeted sales and marketing strategies.

I was the founder of this company in 2009 and was a share holder and Group General Manager until May 2023.

My role was overseeing all operations in the group of companies both in Australia and overseas. As part of that role I;

  • Monitored financial performance, set budgets and controlled expenses to provide financial stability and long-term organizational growth.
  • Analyzed market trends and competitor activities to create competitive advantages.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Worked with our Executive Team to develop long term and short term goals along with plans to achieve the goals
  • Worked closely with major project and specialist builders within NSW to develop new products and innovative ideas that resulted in a dominant market share in that sector for the company
  • Established close working relationships with other suppliers to establish products that worked for all suppliers and trades in the building process
  • Developed innovative products to setup a unique market position

At the time of leaving the company we had grown from a startup in 2009 to annual sales of over $50 million with an above average EBITA for that industry type.

Oversight of all business operations for Meshworks in NSW (manufactured welded mesh and cable tray). Included budget preparation, management of profit and loss, operational decision making and general management of the entire business. Was brought into the business at a time when welded mesh use in industry was on the decline and the company was running at serious losses. I was responsible for pivoting the business to other products and re-organized the business structure, company is still in operation today and still making mesh and cable tray.

  • Developed and maintained relationships with customers and suppliers through account development
  • Developed and tested new innovative products that are still being used in the market to this day

  • Establish a startup in 2009 (Steel Builders) which became the market leading supplier of structural steel in the NSW residential building market, with a multitude of proprietary products to this day is still the preferred supplier to many of major project builders in NSW.
