Honey Insurance is a home and contents general insurance provider that has been in operations for four years! It is an innovative insurtech startup making groundbreaking waves across the Australian insurance industry, winning numerous awards in very little time. I have been employed at Honey Insurance since its foundational beginnings.


I have experienced and developed the following skills and achievements since being within the security team at Honey:


  • Collaborate with the cyber security and stakeholders in creating PCI DSS and ISO27001 framework policies and procedures from beginning to end. I have successfully implemented these policies into the company, which supported us in becoming ISO certified.
  • Monitor access to systems and the building and audit employee system access logs to identify potential security issues. I am continually auditing systems to ensure its confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Provision and configure employee devices to ensure secure access. I onboard new employees by provisioning their devices and ensure they are managed through our mobile device management platform. I setup all employee system access and have them cross referenced by other members of the team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security vulnerabilities and news by monitoring forums and industry updates.
  • Document and report security incidents and remediation efforts. I create and document risk assessments to ensure we are constantly monitoring each risk to the business and its impact it may cause.
  • Off-board employees and revoke system access when necessary. When employees leave the business, I ensure the off-boarding procedure is actioned appropriately.
