Summary

Since 2021, I have been working as a project manager in the civil construction industry, as part of the remote community subdivision delivery team (Consultant for the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics). This has included overseeing civil works and infrastructure upgrades undertaken in communities across the Northern Territory. This role entails the general supervision and inspection of works being performed by contractors, as well as undertaking conformance testing of key elements of infrastructure such as water and sewer services, to ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, industry standards and regulatory requirements. In addition to the above, overseeing and approving vital hold and witness points throughout various stages of each project, as well as providing written project status reports to the client for each site inspection.


Prior to this, my role was as a project manager from 2016 to 2021, with a strong background in coordinating residential construction projects. Experience includes scheduling of sub-contractors and materials, consultation and cooperation with industry professionals (Building Certifiers, Engineers etc.), consistent and effective communication with clients and tenants. Additional experience in; management of site safety, quality control and compliance inspections, reading and interpreting plans/ specifications, analysis and compliance of varying contractual conditions. Minor experience in marketing, business development, establishing and maintaining social media platforms, including creation of platform content and management of online inquiries.


From 2012 to 2016, I was self-employed as managing director of a small contracting business specializing in the supply and installation of aluminium windows and doors (Residential and commercial) – servicing the Darwin, Palmerston and rural areas in the Northern Territory. Experience from this role includes planning and coordinating daily operations, including scheduling of labour and materials. In addition, quality control, producing quotes, tenders, invoices, as well as business management and development.
