I am a hard-working, punctual and organized individual that pays close attention to detail and will always perform a task to the best of my ability no matter what it is. I am looking to progress and advance in a valued company and love working as a team or by myself using my problem solving skills. I have been employed for work whether that be part-time or full-time since the age of 14 and have always followed that job to the highest standard possible for self-growth and development.
This was an office role where I helped sell, market and distribute Ultra Violet inventory such as torches, paint, sports equipment and a lot more products. My main duty was to reach out to potential clients where I could get more business for the company and market appropriately for it. I helped edit the website, took in stock, package orders and did social media jobs for the company as well. I had many rolls for this job which I had to learn quickly as I was leaving for Australia shortly after I got the job, so this helped my learning skills greatly. It taught me a lot about marketing and selling in-person and how to approach people, thus helping me a lot with confidence. This role also gave me experience in packaging and distribution, so I would see a product going from the warehouse to it being packaged and collected by a carrier.
When I finished college, I decided I would start full-time as a lifeguard but wanted more responsibility and a new challenge so a job arose for a duty manager role for the sports centre I was already working at. I interviewed for it amongst 4 other people and got the job. This job meant I was in charge from open to close of the different sectors of the sports hall, including the gym, swimming pool, reception and coffee shop. I was responsible for all staff and customers in the building and had to make sure they were all doing their job at a great standard. This taught me new skills such as dealing with difficult customers, giving feedback to staff, teaching and admin skills.
My main responsibility was to oversee the pool and provide great customer service and assured safety throughout to paying and regular customers. For this job I had to do an NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification), where I learned everything about lifeguarding a pool, plus basic first aid and advanced CPR techniques. When I wasn't lifeguarding, I was doing cleaning jobs around the building making sure everything was tidy and presentable. This job gave me more experience working as a team and providing better customer service while still holding a strict limit to what I could let slide as I had a duty of care to all customers.
The main part of this job(s) was to produce excellent customer service with kind interactions and good quality coffee. I would handle cash, credit cards payments and would also wait tables. With this I have developed a good communication skills and dealt with any complaints that may have occurred . Furthermore, these two similar jobs have prepared me various different customers that I may have to deal with.
I have been an active person from a very young age, I have played rugby since I was 6 years old alongside: cricket, tennis, swimming and boxing. I love physical activity and try to get in the gym 4-5 times a week. I also have recently gotten back into running after a hamstring injury.
