New-Gen Business Park Industrial Estate for EMKC3, Ipswich QLD

  • Integral role in the current construction of New-Gen Business Park Estate, a 5 Star Green Rated development in Ipswich
  • Scope of works managed includes the following but not limited to: bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage infrastructure including culverts, trunk watermain, gravity sewerage and electrical infrastructure
  • Compile monthly Progress Claims to issue to the Client.
  • Issue monthly profit reports to issue to the Construction Manager
  • Liaise with certifying Engineers. Client and external corporations such as Energex, Seqwater, Santos and Urban Utilities

Isaac River Bridge for Pembroke Resources ($7.5m), Olive Downs QLD

  • Key role in the successful construction of a 5-span reinforced concrete bridge to facilitate access to the birth of a new steelmaking coal mine located in the Olive Downs region
  • Structural features included: installment of 10 x 17.5m and 32 x 21m prestressed concrete piles, 5 spans @ 22.5m meters comprising of 80 precast decks, bulk earthworks at both abutments and 30m of pavement leading to both approaches
  • Carry out the Engineering, Planning, Quality, Survey and Scheduling functions for the project.
  • Reviewed IFC drawings and carried out procurement of materials and subconctractors as required
  • Desired to increase project profitability where possible and would include suggestions in the progress reports to the Construction Manager
  • Conducting prestart meetings to communicate to the construction team (labourers, operators, foreman and subcontractors) the intended works for the day and to open the floor for any safety or technical issues to be resolved
  • Ensured the accuracy of information for schedules and reports, provide timely submission of reports and project schedules
  • Maintain a healthy working relationship with the Client (stationed on site) by being passionate and proactive on issues associated with quality, safety and the environment


Graduate Structural Engineer

At Tungsten Structures, my role as a Graduate Structural Engineer had built upon the skills learnt in the Undergraduate role whilst introducing a new set of proficiencies and responsibilities.

  • Liaising with clients and associated consultants, as appropriate
  • Responsible for leading structural engineering reviews and organising our drafting team to achieve tender and construction issue level submittals before deadlines
  • Reviewing RFI’s, IFA’s and IFC submittals and delivering back comments in an understanding way to the detailer and or client

  • Reaching out to new interns and offering technical advice to enrich their knowledge
