Hello, my name is Isabelle also preferred to be deemed as ‘Issy’. I’m 15 years old turning 16 in less then 2 months, I’m currently experienced in both front and back of houses for fast food chains but slowly I’m starting to lean towards doing hospitality more so, I’m doing a course now, that I adore, and I hope I can add this course to my resume. A lot has changed with my personality as I’ve matured, I’m willing to come in for work experience without pay, for either you to test me, to see if I’m a good fit or just so I can add it to my resume, to add some more experience would help my future greatly, I’ll happily volunteer my services, I hope I can be your next employee.
Firstly when I started here, I changed my role as a chance to explore, as front of house, I learnt how to communicate with customers seamlessly, and operate a cash register quickly along with maintaining a friendly tone, ensuring they feel welcomed and want to come back. I’m all for ‘sos’ faster is better but quality over quantity comes first to me. I learnt how to prepare shakes and soft drinks, along with naturally serving tables and cleaning up after myself, and customers without complaint. I’m friendly and respectful, I always try to figure things out for myself but if I’m unable to I’ll go ask help easily. I have plenty experience washing dishes, and emptying bins/replacing them. I’m reliable as well, if anyone needed help, I’d be the first to their side if I wasn’t busy with another task. On the downer side, I have no drive to teach, I need a team leader as I listen well, and prefer to follow rather the order. But other then that, my time at Carl’s Jr has only been short but I’ve gotten the hang of it in no time.
I worked at this for a bit over 7 months, it wasn’t the best but I was able to develop skills in team communication and team building, along with cooking patties using machinery and prep work for salad necessities. Along with this, I’m great at once taught correctly, doing stuff efficiently and effectively. if I’m shouted at, don’t expect me to comply easily and not make a 100 mistakes, neither degrade me. This has been my experience at hungry jacks but besides that if I’m asked to do an instruction with strictness yet politeness, I’m able to do it flawlessly. I take things to heart which I shouldn’t so I try my best constantly, if I’m constantly belittled by staff, I begin to doubt my abilities and become less confident, leading to more breakdowns and less customers served happy, what I say is happy staff, happy day.
