In addition to performing my regular reception duties, I am responsible for training new staff members, making decisions in the absence of the Clerical Manager, addressing and resolving patient complaints, reviewing and correcting reports, and managing patient inquiries to ensure they are handled appropriately.
I also liaise closely with radiologists, radiographers, and sonographers to ensure all bookings are scheduled accurately and efficiently. While working at the St Vincent’s Hospital branch, I manage external inquiries and ensure they are addressed promptly and professionally.
I manage a high-volume, multi-line telephone system, handling incoming calls efficiently, conducting routine outbound calls, and directing messages to the appropriate staff members in a timely manner.
I am responsible for sorting and distributing internal and external mail, maintaining accurate records of incoming packages, and ensuring all items are delivered to the correct recipients.
In addition, I diligently perform a range of clerical duties, including accurately documenting medical information, coordinating and scheduling complex and lengthy procedures as well as general appointments.
