- Composure and stressful environment skills: being a football referee meant being 100% focused on every decision made, while managing a field of 22 players and everyone from the bench to the crowd, using de-escalation strategies to maintain a fair, safe, and fun environment for everyone.
- Core communication skills and match officials' decisions are very fast-paced. Among peers, it's important to understand the key information in a decision. To allow for a streamlined match, there must be cohesive agreement in decisions between match officials. In my two years of refereeing, I have developed this skill well.
