In my role at MMC as a Level 1 Rope Access Technician, I am required to fulfil a range of duties across multiple sites throughout the Perth CBD. These duties include external leak identification and rectification, concrete repairs, window replacement, and façade maintenance works. Additional responsibilities involve defect inspections, sealant and joint repairs, patching and spalling remediation, façade cleaning, installation and removal of temporary fixtures, and general building maintenance tasks carried out at height. All works are completed in accordance with IRATA procedures, site-specific SWIs, and relevant WHS regulations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
In my role with Vertech on Koolan Island as a Level 1 Rope Access Technician, I carried out a range of ground support and remediation tasks in a high-risk mining environment. These included the installation of rockfall mesh and rigid mesh systems, tensioning cable bolts, and fitting plates and nuts to engineered support systems.
Additional responsibilities involved hand drilling, rock scaling, and performing various rigging and access tasks while working at height. All work was conducted in strict accordance with site procedures, rope access standards, and safety management systems, with a strong focus on hazard identification, equipment inspection, and maintaining safe work practices at all times.
