I was hired by c3 as a scaler in June 2021, one year later qube had taken over log marshalling in Portland. I was rehired immediately to the same role as before, I started to up skill with moving up to weighbridge sign in then to supervising boat loading shifts which swapped between 12 hour day and night shifts. I then started to learn in the high lift stacker machines in late December 2023. I was then signed off and voc'd in January 2024, later in April of 2024 I did work safe training for HSE and that was added to my role at qube, as Portland's site's heath and safety executive.
This was my first job, I stated in the bakery, went to shelve stacking and then ended up at the deli. By my 5th year I was supervising/managing the deli, this included roasters, stock management and redesign. While also working the counter the entire time, this really helped me develop my social skills. I decided to resign as I had just brought my first home in may 2021, and wanted a different role with the option of upskilling further
As of current my skills are an operator, nzqa for log scaling and a heath and safety rep I care about safety and the well-being of my team I also like working with others to learn from and eventually training new members later on I'm a quick learner and want to broaden my skills continuously
