I am currently studying Biomedical Engineering, and I am interested in the design and development of innovative medical solutions, particularly those in the fields of cardiology, neurology and oncology. I believe that I could be a useful addition to your team for the summer due to both the technical and soft skills that I have acquired through completing my degree and the experience I have gained while working in a clinical environment.

Collected, managed, and maintained data from large databases (up to 18,000 records).
Patient communication skills through patients consultations.
Routinely performs clinical measurements – including height, weight, range of motion and GnRB laxity tests (for ACL injuries).
Observed and assisted with retraction for a Distal Femoral Osteotomy (DFO) and High Tibial Osteotomy (HTO) procedures on a cadaver.
Routinely conducted data collection audits.
Designed and created a performance tracker using audit data to track the institution’s performance over time.
Created graphs summarising the data obtained. Was then used by an orthopaedic surgeon in the institution’s most recent board meeting.
Upgraded the institution’s insurance documents and coverage.
Cross referenced and consolidated large data exports in excel to locate missing records.
Created standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Routinely access and download medical imaging from imaging centres.
Assisted in the upgrade of the company’s constitution via comparing legal documents.
Routinely creates daily consult lists using the surgeon's schedule in a timely manner.
Created, improved and manages the rotation schedules for the international surgical fellows and observers
Routinely conducts patient follow-ups and recruitment via phone calls and emails.
Extensive use of medical practice management software, including Shexie, SOCRATES, Clinic to Cloud and Genie.
