Perth,Western Australia

Summary

I am currently studying for a Bachelor Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations (in 2nd year). My career aspiration is to work in marketing, advertising and public relations in the sports management area. I have an industry standard Diploma in Graphic Design and am currently working as a part-time graphic designer at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and before that, for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet for the Western Australian Government in the COVID-19 Communications Team supporting the development and delivery of communication strategies for COVID-19 emergency response and recovery communications. I have acted for a short time as a Marketing Assistant supporting the campaigns team, assisting in developing and implementing marketing, advertising, and publicity activities and materials aligned to Government priorities. This was a development opportunity through which I gained valuable on-the-job training that supports my tertiary studies and career ambitions. In my current role as a graphic designer, I create visual communications to solve problems and convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner, creating these materials using the latest software and technology. I am skilled and industry-certified in the latest design software programs and platforms including the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe's Creative Suite—including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I am experienced in the development of creative digital assets including for social media and websites and also for logo creation, infographics, flowcharts, diagrams, corporate design, typography, document design, and marketing materials. I am skilled in design style, layout, format and print production. I have skills in managing profiles and marketing business accounts on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. My ambition is to use my skills and qualifications to be involved in sports marketing and management.
