Summary
I am a dedicated and meticulous Refrigeration Technician who has extensive site experience at Mount Isa mines. I have worked in the field there at the copper & lead smelter, copper & lead concentrator, in & around both ammonia plants K61 & Y74. In this position I acted as a tradesman, & obtaining my S1,S2,S3 to become step up 2IC & fill in supervisor. My daily tasks included pre-start meetings, developing JSEA's with my team, issuing & holding permits for high risk activites around site. Sat in on planning meetings, helped plan out new installations, & acted as tech support for the crew where I could help.
I took this same safety mentality with me to Curragh Mine in Backwater where I currently work. I help manage a site maintenance crew, various jobs, conducting planning meetings, pre starts, & other office duties like creating jobs on SAP, JSA's, & permits.
I have experience running projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of safety. Making sure all controls are implemented & monitored. Some projects I've worked on & overseen are installing, repairing and preventative maintenance on wide array of HVAC equipment including:
- Air Conditioning – Split systems, Cassette systems, Package Units, Split Ducted systems, and Evaporative coolers.
- Refrigeration Units - Coldrooms, Freezers, Vending machines, Postmix units, Ice machines, Chillers and ammonia plants.
My training and work history outlines my various skills and wide experience working in the mining industry as a tradesman & into a supervising role. I am always looking to add further experience, & expanding my skills as a supervisor & would always be willing to undertake extra courses that can further my knowledge & ability, to which I can bring to a team to improve camaraderie, production, while maintaining a safe work place.
