I am a qualified plumber not long out of my apprenticeship understand the commitments involved in working as and I feel confident about my abilities and motivation to meet these commitments with maturity and responsibility. I am a friendly and happy person who values the opportunity to be able to work. I am a well presented, motivated and enthusiastic young man with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work well as an individual or as part of a team. I am eager to participate and to extend my knowledge and skills. I am hopeful that you will recognise from my achievements that I have a positive attitude and strive to do my best.

• Problem Solving Skills, I have demonstrated my ability to solve problems through being able to juggle my responsibilities related to my school commitments, my work experiences and club sports. As a student who is achieving at a satisfactory standard academically and who is involved in various work experiences in industry, I have had the opportunity to develop thoughtful responses to a variety of situations.

Through my involvement at school, playing sports and in the workplace, I have demonstrated my capacity to communicate effectively in arrange of settings. I have demonstrated that I can be adaptable and flexible by coping with the demands of achieving at school while meeting my other responsibilities associated with undertaking work experience and playing club sports. At work with UTJ and the Hardware Man I have demonstrated that I am mature and responsible meeting all my responsibilities and commitments with care and enthusiasm.
• Willingness to learn, I have demonstrated my willingness to learn by my progress at school and through the knowledge and skills that I have learned with my interest in mechanics. I highlight the fact that I have been progressing steadily with my schoolwork and I am continuing to embrace the opportunity to learn new skills. I enjoy the opportunity to put what I learn into practical contexts. Through my interest in construction I have demonstrated my desire to learn and to apply what I learn in a practical context.
• Computer Skills / Technology, I have had experience with computers and am able to operate them at a competent level. I understand the value that technology can bring to the workplace and look forward to continuing to develop my skills and knowledge further in this area. I have used and am able to operate Word, Power Point and various internet applications.
• Able to Work in a Team Environment, I am an easy going person who gets on well with virtually all people irrespective of age or background. I understand the importance of working together co-operatively to support each other and to work towards achieving a common goal. I have demonstrated my capacity and desire to work in a team environment through my school activities, volunteering and in the workplace.
• Workplace Health and Safety, I understand that workplace safety is everyone’s responsibility. I have an excellent record of safety, using common sense and following policy and procedures as required. I am fit and enjoy excellent health and rarely take a day off due to illness.
