THE TOWNSVILLE UNIVERSTIY OF HOSPITAL
03.2025 - 04.2025

This placement focused on the management of patients
recovering from stroke and those with general deconditioning.
Under supervision, I was involved in patient assessment,
functional mobility training, gait retraining, and multidisciplinary
discharge planning. I received an overall mark of 65% for this
placement.

Clinical Placement

ROYAL BRISBANE AND WOMEN'S HOSPITAL
04.2025 - 05.2025

This placement was focused on the acute ward, specifically in
the orthopaedic setting with a caseload primarily consisting of
trauma patients. I worked with individuals recovering from
surgeries such as ORIF, TKR, and spinal fractures. I received an
overall mark of 79% for this placement.

ROYAL BRISBANE AND WOMEN'S HOSPITAL
05.2025 - 05.2025

I support the delivery of the PARTY (Prevent Alcohol and Risk-
Related Trauma in Youth) Program, an injury prevention initiative
aimed at educating high school students about the
consequences of risk-related behaviours such as alcohol use,
reckless driving, and violence. My role involves assisting with
session preparation, engaging with student participants, and
supporting interdisciplinary healthcare professionals during
workshops.

PRINCESS ALEXANDRA HOSPITAL
05.2025 - 06.2025

This placement was focused on cardiorespiratory physiotherapy
in an acute inpatient setting, managing patients primarily
following cardiac and thoracic surgeries. I was involved in
respiratory assessment, early mobilisation, and postoperative
physiotherapy interventions to support airway clearance and
optimise recovery. I received an overall mark of 81% for this
placement.

THE BRISBANE SPINE CLINIC
07.2025 - 08.2025

This placement was focused on the assessment and management of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions in a private practice setting. I was exposed to a variety of presentations including mechanical low back and neck pain, disc herniations and radiculopathies. I developed clinical reasoning and refined my skills in spinal assessment and manual therapy techniques. I received an overall 65% for this placement.
