  • Working as part of a small, concentrated team to maintain and upkeep the royal marines landing craft
  • Due to gapped positions, I was working beyond my role as I was the only technician at the time, taking care of the planned maintenance system and keeping to deadlines to give full operational capability of the craft to command
  • Carry out maintenance duties utilising technical publications
  • Carry out basic mechanical and electrical maintenance as directed by section senior
  • Rectify defects complying with the correct safety precautions and procedures

  • Deployed on multiple military operations, biggest one 9 month deployment 2021 (World tour)
  • Quickly becoming a fully qualified naval engineering technician onboard a deployed warship, I worked and maintained various marine equipment
  • Learning from my peers I gained confidence from my seniors to conduct larger and essential maintenance allowing me to increase my knowledge of imperative systems
  • Spending most of my time watchkeeping, this included carrying out hourly in-depth rounds of all running machinery and held responsibility for the ship's freshwater levels, conducting water transfers ensuring the ship had enough fresh water
  • As an effect of being a senior qualified watchkeeper onboard, I became responsible for the development of newer members of the department's knowledge and training techniques
