Work History
Pool Lifeguard
Casey RACE
12.2023 - Current
I observe the pools when on shift to look out for dangers to patrons, either dangerous objects in the water, contamination, patrons possibly drowning or another patron(s) posing a threat to other patrons.
I also observe patrons swimming abilities, and identifying if they are a high risk or low risk of possibly drowning.
I regularly interact with patrons when they ask for help locating lost property, need help with lockers, need help locating a pool, helping a child locate their parents and informing patrons about the rules within the centre.
Football Umpire
Frankston District Football League (FDJFL)
01.2019 - 08.2024
I officiate the rules of junior football, by calling/awarding freekicks when the present themselves.
I often break up fights between players and deal with disputes between players and coaches, and deal with players and coaches arguing with me.
I have umpired several junior football grand finals and a senior women's league grand final.
Work Experience Carpenter
Livesay's Carpentry
06.2024 - 06.2024
I worked on various worksites in which I completed numerous tasks, such as lifting and carrying frames, passing tools, cutting wood, using power tools, and cleaning up rubbish and off cuts.
I was taught how to use power tools safely.
I observed the way the other guys carried out activities and asked why they may have carried it out that way and how to do it. I did this as it would become relevant to my career path as I will be working in the construction industry, and the tasks they carried out would most likely be similar to the tasks that I carry out in my future trade.
I would actively listen to instructions in order to complete the task at hand correctly, if I was unsure about something said or forgot a part of the instructions, I would speak up and ask what was said to ensure that I was completing the task correctly.
On each worksite, I would constantly ensure I was following safe work procedures that I had learnt earlier in the year in Work Skills. I did this to ensure the safety of myself and the people I was working with.
