I started my mechanical plumbing career with Efficient Pure Plumbing with a motivated and eager to learn attitude. I learned by working on various work on the domestic, and minor commercial side. My work knowledge was expanded in various number of ways as well, involving install work, commissioning, finishing, sales, customer service, service and diagnostics, and training apprentices

• The work that I was involved in day to day would most likely always be at a existing owners home, so excellent customer service is always important. To conduct yourself in a professional manner and to help the owner feel comfortable with themselves to trust in me to conduct my works at the upmost standard, where they would be satisfied
• I have been trained by qualified plumbers, mechanical plumbers and refrigeration technicians to be capable of full installation and finishing of gas heaters, wall furnaces, hot water systems, evaporative cooling systems, flexi ducting, ducted split systems, split systems, hydronic heating systems, VRV and multi head split systems
• As I was working, I eventually got to work out of my own jobs 1.5 years into working for Efficient Pure Plumbing, which then led to me working with my own supplied apprentice. I am very patient, and I find it easy to help people understand work related tasks
• I was taught about general maintenance and diagnostics of gas appliances related to heating, and evaporative cooling. Various qualified refrigeration techs taught me minor refrigeration diagnostics but am capable of general maintenance.
• After every service I must write a report on the service displaying all that was involved
• While working on the service department I come face to face with the hard truth of systems breaking down where it would be cheaper to purchase a new system than going down the path of repairs. Because of these situations I learnt how to measure up a building to correctly size a system, write out the quotation involving pricing and work involved, and organize when a suitable time is to lock in a booking.

I started working for JM Roofing as a casual labourer, in May. I have expanded my knowledge on roof plumbing and have experience with the manufacturing side of the trade in their warehouse, involving sheet metal fabrication

• Fitting facia’s, gutters, downpipes, flashing, capping, cladding, and corrugated iron sheets
• Taking measurements of the size of roof, to see how many sheets of corrugated colour bond are required
• Following instructions assigned by the employer/supervisor
• General labour and use of hand tools and power tools

• I started working for 232 Metal Roofing straight after I finished school and worked for the company for 6-7 months. I was mainly working on commercial and union sites, learning about roof plumbing on schools, town houses, and domestic housing
