Summary

Working within an advanced practice role, I specialize in providing comprehensive supervision and support within cardiology. My expertise lies in evaluating processes and recommending strategies to enhance patient outcomes through quality improvement initiatives. Since assuming the role of senior team lead in 2020, I have been actively involved in mentoring and delivering educational sessions. I contributed to establishing, commissioning, and working within the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL) for the West Morton Hospital and Health Service (WMHHS) in 2022 and have trained novice staff to transition into this niche area of acute care nursing. My dedication to cardiology and patient well-being has steered me towards pursuing postgraduate studies at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). I am actively involved in inspiring future students, having accepted an opportunity to engage with the 2025 cohort of postgraduate acute care students through Zoom recordings. Looking ahead, my career aspiration is to continue in an advanced practice role, with the specific goal of being accepted into the Master of Nurse Practitioner program in 2025.
