I started in insurance when I was age 17 and immediately enjoyed what I was doing. I am a motivated individual with excellent customer service skills & attention to detail. I believe I am a reliable person who will get the job done sufficiently within the correct deadlines. I am someone who likes a challenge and I work well under pressure. I have been mentored previously by a senior account executive on technical commercial products so I have some knowledge to bring to the table and share with others however, I would like further training on commercial products. I am currently completing my Tier one in insurance with 1 final exam to go.
I am familiar with insight & office tech but I am also a very quick learner and believe I would adapt quickly to new systems.
I was promoted to Account Executive late October of 2023 due to the the work load that I was able to handle and how quickly I have progressed. I am currently managing up to roughly 4,000 policies of retail & small SME clients with 1 other senior broker. As an account executive with this high volume portfolio, my role has been to answer any an all enquiries within a timely manner providing correct & sound knowledge to ensure our clients understand what they are and are not covered for, regardless of if they are existing or new clients. I ensure to process policy renewals within the correct deadlines (if possible) which includes obtaining alternate quotes across the market and providing a recommendation year on year. I am a self-motivated person, with a strong sense of responsibility, I use critical thinking to break down problems & make decisions. I have also gained claims experience within this role by managing many retail claims over the past few months.
I begin being an assistant account executive within our commercial division for a senior broker on a high volume technical portfolio. My role was to assist the account manager with all policy renewals along with provide advice to clients & follow up on additional information such as proposal forms when required. I would help assist the account manager with any direct enquiries via email & phone along with assist with processing policy renewals, endorsements & cancellations. During this role I also helped bring new ideas to the table to assist with workload efficiency. I also assisted with training new employees during this role to pass on my knowledge.
I started at Network Insurance group as a trainee broker through Central coast Group Training while completing on the job training with network insurance group. I started this career working in the landlords scheme assisting an account manager & team leader. During this role I would assist the account manager & team leader with the pre renewals, outstanding debtors, unallocated cash along with processing policy renewals. During this time i was also being mentored and completing training at Tafe for a Certificate 3 in financial services 7 a tier 2. I ended up requesting to be moved onto a different broking role in the commercial division in late 2021 as I found I needed to be doing something with more of a challenge.
I worked at McDonald's as a casual when I was 16 until I found full time work so I was able to leave school. At McDonald's, my role was to take customers orders efficiently and effectively along with ensure the restaurant was clean at all times. I would perform cash & card transactions to complete customer purchases & provide refunds where necessary. I learned duties to various positions and provided back up at key times. I also trained new employees as they came.
