A young, motivated field service engineer with experience of a large range of machinery. Not afraid to get stuck in to ensure the job is completed on time and to a professional standard. Keen to learn new skills and gain a plethora of knowledge to be applied in the workplace. Takes great pride in the finish of their work and always strives for complete customer satisfaction.
I am currently working for PoolEdge Systems, installing concrete formwork to swimming pools in Perth and surrounding areas. I mostly work alone, travelling to multiple jobs a day and liaising with clients and homeowners.
Whilst working at Reco, I had had to learn the agricultural side of the JCB product range and the differences between these and their construction counterparts. I diagnosed and repaired faults on a range of machinery, using both diagnostic software and personal knowledge. Due to the demanding nature of the agricultural industry, I spent many early mornings and late nights repairing machines in line with the customers workload, ensuring minimal downtime.
During my time at Holt JCB I undertook many challenging tasks, ranging from wiring and CANbus faults to axle overhauls, slew ring replacements and hydraulic system repairs. I carried out tasks from start to finish, including diagnosis, parts ordering, repairs and testing. I formed close working relationships with customers and colleagues, many of whom I still am in contact with. Most of the work I carried out was on site, meaning that my diagnosis and identification of parts required was critical to ensure minimal downtime and cost to the customer.
I started here during my level 3 apprenticeship and was given the opportunity to expand my knowledge of agricultural machinery further. In this role I carried out regular maintenance and servicing of a vast range of machinery from quad bikes through to combine harvesters and large tractors. Alongside this, I also carried out fault diagnosis and repairs both in the workshop and in the field including hydraulic faults, mechanical failures and software faults, as well as PDI's of new machinery. I worked alongside other colleagues on large tasks but mostly worked alone, especially when on site.
I started my apprenticeship here and in this time I progressed from a very basic knowledge of machinery to undertaking diagnosis and repairs of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults on a range of machinery. I undertook many tasks on new and used machinery and implements such as welding new bucket edges on, rebuilding clutch packs and a range of engine repairs.
