Within my role as Occupational Therapist and Clinical Lead I complete the following:

Leadership

• Engage in the Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead role in a way that aligns with the companies’ vision, mission, values, policies and procedures
• Positively promote Be You Occupational Therapy Pty Ltd in and out of work hours
• Undertake all work tasks issued by the Director within a timely manner
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with our valued external stakeholders
• Engage in activities that generate internal and external referrals for Be You Occupational Therapy Pty Ltd
• Positively contribute to our organisational culture
• Provide high quality external operational and clinical supervision to new graduate Occupational Therapists
• Support supervisees to achieve their KPI’s consistently and sustainably
• Supervise Occupational Therapy students through university placements
• Support the Director to grow and nurture a team of Occupational Therapists through actively participating in recruitment initiatives
• Support the Director to undertake leadership projects

Clinical

• Provide high quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to the people we serve
• Effectively and efficiently manage a complex clinical caseload under various funding schemes including TIO and NDIS
• Keep high quality clinical documentation in a timely manner, including clinical notes and email correspondence
• Produce high quality functional capacity reports and clinical letters
• Promote independence in activities of daily living through task analysis, environmental adaptations, and compensatory techniques
• Provide education to patients and families on coping strategies, adaptive equipment, and safety modifications.
• Develop therapy programs, packages, resources and courses
• Completion of minor and major home modifications
• Completion of basic and complex equipment prescription
• Proactively engage in a variety of continuing professional development activities
• Adhere to relevant professional codes of ethics and conduct, as well as to professional standards
• Promote independence in activities of daily living through task analysis, environmental adaptations, and compensatory techniques
• Provide education to patients and families on coping strategies, adaptive equipment, and safety modifications.

Within my role as Occupational Therapist at Adapt Healthcare, I completed the following:

• Provided high quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services
• Effectively and efficiently managed a clinical caseload including DVA, HCP and NDIS.
• Kept high quality clinical documentation in a timely manner, including clinical notes and email correspondence
• Produced high quality reports and clinical letters
• Developed therapy programs, packages, resources and courses
• Proactively engaged in a variety of continuing professional development activities
• Adhered to relevant professional codes of ethics and conduct, as well as to professional standards.

Within my role as Occupational Therapist at Mobile Rehab, I completed the following:

• Functional assessments
• Equipment recommendations and prescription
• Minor home modifications
• Pressure care education
• Prescription of seating and wheelchairs
• Development of falls prevention programs.

I have also completed facility work within Arcare Caboolture and PM Village focusing on pain management.

• Provided occupational therapy services as a student to children with autism spectrum disorder.
