Summary

As an experienced reporter, I have extensive knowledge of WA politics and have developed good relationships with the WA media, both within Seven West Media and at rival outlets.

I am experienced in how politicians and government departments deal with journalists, at press conferences and in prepared responses.

I am able to turn around breaking news reports quickly and meet tight deadlines.

I package my own stories for online, including SEO headlines, kickers and teasers.

I am skilled in news writing that hooks a reader in quickly and communicates efficiently, as well as in longer form feature writing.

I can identify what is and is not newsworthy and how to package information in a way that is of interest to reporters and readers.
