I was most recently employed by Roxy Leisure to manage a brand new, state of the art, adults only gaming location in the heart of Leicester City Centre. With an extensive range of games and activities as well as a full cocktail bar and pizza kitchen helped add to my GM experience. Roles and Responsibilities include all those of any hospitality management role with the addition of;

  • Having extensive knowledge of all in house games and activities including; 10 Pin Bowling, Ice Curling, Tech Darts, American Pool, Shuffleboards etc
  • Maintaining the quality of all in house gaming ensuring the true quality of the brand always shown through.
  • Operating strict 18+ only rules through he whole venue at all times, ensuring the premises license was followed and protected at all times
  • Led Roxy as a new venue to it's first 5* health and safety audit.

Deputy Manager / General Manager

Bodega Cantina is an authentic, South-American inspired Tapas & Cocktail bar in one of Leicester's hottest dining locations in the City Centre, St Martin's Square.


I Started my time here as Deputy Manager and was promoted to General Manager in 2021 after the departure of the previous GM


  • Successfully managed 10 to 15 staff members at any given time by assigning tasks ensuring that both restaurant and company standards are met.
  • Fully trained in all aspects of cocktail bartending and can effectively deliver and oversee a high quality of drinks are being served, particularly in a fast paced environment.
  • Promoted positive atmosphere and went above and beyond to guarantee each customer received exceptional food and service.
  • Oversaw and encouraged all staff members to encourage customer feedback, leading to Bodega Cantina being consistently in the top 20 restaurants in the Leicester during my time there on Tripadvisor, reaching a peak position of 8th in the city.
  • Ensured weekly line checks as well as monthly stock counts were completed to ascertain GP% targets were met and keeping a close eye on any loss/gain variances to establish stocks were under strict control at all times.
  • Effectively published weekly rota's, making sure all labour targets are achieved whilst ensuring staffing levels were at their most efficient and productive.
  • Ensured quality and critical communication between the front and back of house: this resulted in achieving a record weekly sales for the company on 3 separate occasions
  • Liaised with the kitchen team to ensure weekly kitchen paperwork and health & safety measures were in place and up to date at all times.

I was originally hired here as a bartender at the age of 18 and worked my way up to Assistant Manager helping to reopen the business after a company takeover


  • Formally trained new hires on menu items, brand specifications, company standards and customer service expectations
  • Swiftly and genuinely addressed any customer complaints or concerns and ensured customers left the restaurant feeling satisfied and that the issue was resolved effectively and efficiently.
  • Fully trained in all areas of back of house to guarantee an understanding of all areas of the business was achieved and could effectively work across all sections if it was ever needed to ensure a smooth running shift.
  • Coordinated with the wait staff, kitchen and management teams to ensure each guest was satisfied with both their meals and service.
