To the hiring manager,
Please accept this cover letter & accompanying resume as my official application for the above mentioned role. With now 4 years of residential plumbing experience, i am eager to transition into the mining and resources sector of plumbing and embark on a long and fruitful FIFO career. My exact apprenticeship finish date is 14th September 2024, and i will then receive my cert III in gas works to then send to PLB and get everything finalized as required. I understand the timing could be quite inconvienient as i haven't yet fully received my license but i assure you i will do everything i can to speed up the process to be fully attained and ready for work when needed. I possess not only the technical knowledge & skills required to learn and excel in this role but feel it's my aptitude for learning and keen interpersonal skills that make me truly stand out. I am a young quick learner who thrives in dynamic, challenging environments, and I am always looking to
broaden my horizons and take on new opportunities.
Given the opportunity I would like to demonstrate my abilities and enthusiasm to work in the FIFO industry.
I am a ‘hands on', practical person; I can visualize tasks and see potential issues, and put measures in place to resolve these issues, should they arise. Whether it's working away, or in the city, I have the physical fitness required, and I am capable of meeting the demands of the job.
I have a strong commitment to workplace health & safety, ensuring all work is completed responsibly, and I have a Zero-Harm mindset.
I am available for FIFO and full-time roles, and I am flexible with swings, rosters, and work hours to meet ongoing project requirements.
If, after perusing my resume, you believe my experience would benefit your organisation, I would welcome the opportunity to interview. Alternatively, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application and I look forward to speaking with you
soon.
Sincerely, Jake Kingston
