Work History

Accounts Payable Trainee, Accounts Payable Officer, Purchasing Officer

Freighter Group (MaxiTRANS)
11.2022 - Current
  • I started my MaxiTRANS career as an AP trainee, which was a good first step into something I hadn’t done before.
  • This job gave me a better insight on how to be efficient and effective when dealing with suppliers on the phone and through email.
  • My workload consisted of paying invoices, reconciling statements and managing upwards of 40 suppliers on a day-to-day basis.
  • During this I also completed my cert 3 in administration and business through BGT.
  • I worked in AP until May 2024 as to which I was then offered a position in purchasing by the CFO.
  • Now being a purchasing officer I have furthered my initial skills into a more impactful and precise manner since I’m handling a much larger workload.
  • This new position involves me raising orders for around 100+ suppliers, dealing with various deadlines throughout the factory to make sure trailers are completed in time, having meetings with suppliers to welcome in new products and to discuss any on-going changes that may impact the relationship as well as working with managers/supervisors off the floor with any issues related to parts.

Warehouse

Fantastic Furniture
04.2021 - 11.2022
  • I worked within a tight-knit occupation, which allowed me to build my teamwork and communication skills.
  • This job was heavily focused on customer satisfaction and point-of-sale, and so I was able to further expand my knowledge of customer service to include going the extra mile on the customers’ behalf to ensure that their experience was positive and memorable.

Stock/warehouse and Service

Coles

  • The service aspect of my employment at Coles allowed me to further develop my customer service skills in that it presented me with a wide variety of situations, allowing me to expand my knowledge of important aspects of customer focused sale.
  • My stock/warehouse position focused on stock rotation as well as management of the dairy and freezer department, which aided me with attentiveness and work-related accuracy.

Back of House
