Jake Morris

I am a final-year Diagnostic Radiography student at the University of Newcastle, with a strong foundation in patient care, anatomy, and imaging principles. Originally from Maitland, NSW, I completed my schooling at All Saints’ College, and I bring with me a mature and well-rounded perspective shaped by both life experience and my academic journey.

My clinical readiness is supported by my ASMIRT cannulation accreditation, complemented by supervised cannulation experience under both a registered radiographer and a fifth-year medical student, allowing me to contribute from day one with minimal need for further cannulation training.

Prior to radiography, I completed nearly two years of study in physiotherapy, which developed my deep understanding of human anatomy and strengthened my interest in sports medicine and mechanisms of injury. This background, along with my enthusiasm for team-based healthcare, enables me to connect theory with real-world applications to improve patient outcomes.

I am particularly interested in advancing my career in cardiac sonography and MRI, and my overarching goal is to grow into a skilled and compassionate radiographer, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care within a collaborative healthcare environment.
