I enlisted in the Australia army as an electronic systems technician in April of 2018.
After completing my certificate 3 in electrical/electronic engineering and certificate 4 in engineering, I completed 12 months of work experience in an appliance/audio repair shop in Darwin.
In 2021 I posted to Townsville, Queensland where I specialized in breakdown maintenance and servicing of the M1A1 Abrams Tank Fire Control System. My duties included fault finding and repair to a subsystem level, general electrical/electronic assembly tasks in the field and barracks environment and installation and troubleshooting on various RF communications suites across multiple vehicles fleets.
In 2024 I upskilled to the M1A2 Abrams Tank Fire Control System where my duties remained unchanged.
