Responsible for the safe, efficient and professional transportation of passengers for various air transport and aerial work tasks in remote and bush environments in the Kimberley and Pilbara, using multiple single engine helicopters. Other responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Thorough daily inspections of aircraft;
• Accurate record keeping and planning for flight operations in accordance with relevant laws and regulations;
• Ensure correct loading of passengers and cargo in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations;
• Perform comprehensive checklists from memory during all phases of flight to comply with flight manual requirements;
• Identify targets of opportunity during flight operations, such as readily available landing locations or task-relevant points of interest;
• Shuttle aircraft to and from base locations for routine and necessary maintenance requirements;
• Address passenger concerns/feedback with composure and professionalism, and endeavour to offer a resolution where appropriate;
• Provide assistance to maintenance personnel, both in the field and in the hangar when required.

Manage and oversee the operations of remote company bases as operationally required under the direction of the senior management. Duties of Base Managers, in addition to the duties and responsibilities of a Line Pilot, include the following:

• Coordination of daily base flying activities, including liaising with pilots, ground crew and management to ensure efficient flight operations;
• Provide detailed reports to management, including updates on base performance, safety issues and aircraft maintenance tracking;
• Track trends and suggest enhancements to both challenge and refine company product offerings;
• Manage purchasing, sales, marketing and customer account operations efficiently;
• Management of employee rosters, taking into account client requirements and employee strengths;
• Interact professionally with customers to build connections and nurture relationships;
• Mentor team members to maintain high productivity and flying performance.
