Qualified Electrician specialising in repairs and maintenance. Completed my apprenticeship at Power Water which is the main power supplier in the Northern Territory and began my career there. Very reliable, I like job security and stability. I frequently work by myself but also in my role at Ingkerreke, I had up to 3 other electricians to oversee. Quote various jobs, checking work for compliance, compliance testing and advising on various things. Held electrical contractor's license at Ingkerreke. Often had to work remote but switched back to town work for about a year before leaving there to be with family and play sport. Left Ingkerreke as they went insolvent due to administration mis-management. With Morton Brothers, I got into a new area of work dealing with American electrical practices, voltages and equipment. A lot of learning and really enjoyed the experience. At Alphacool, I mainly focused on service and maintenance to government contracts but also worked on new builds. Split system installations and 24hr after hours call out. Some maintenance in hotels and restaurants. Got opportunity to travel to PNG for work, installing electrical circuits on Navy boats to power new outlets. Have worked with and taught apprentices at different stages of the apprenticeships.
Lived in Alice Springs since 1995 and been qualified since 2007-08. Moved from Alice Springs to Cairns in June 2022. It was time for a change of scenery with all the crime and anti social behaviour in Alice Springs. Cairns has been nice. It was initially hard finding my way around in such a big city and not knowing anyone.
Keen sportsman. Played baseball since 1995. State representative and have played internationally in America in 2002. Also played cricket in Alice Springs.
