The objective is to create a non-intrusive test that can diagnose any underlying health conditions, such as dementia. I was hired as a designer on the project and was critically responsible for placing an emphasis on creating a strong and consistent aesthetic without compromising on highly user friendly interactions and functions.
  • My key responsibilities and achievements were working with third party systems, Adventure Creator and Pixel Crushers Dialogue System, to assist in writing the GDD and scheduling for our acquisition of the SAFC grant (in which we were successful in obtaining).

Student Game Designer

Architectus

  • My primary responsibility was designing and implementing a system that guides a player through a virtual reality (VR) experience. This role allowed me to demonstrate and apply the knowledge and skills I acquired during my tertiary studies. As the designer on project, I made the executive decision that it was vital to develop a system that is intuitive to user, i.e. an effortless transition in transferring oneself from the real world to VR. I designed and successfully implemented the idea of having a tutorial system that you could always head back to if the player became lost drawing on my studies in psychology and interest in cognitive science.
  • On a technical front, it was during this project that I also learned the difference and value in moving from Unity Engine to Unreal Engine.

Kitchen Hand
