James Davies

During my time here I was involved in the process of furnishing and cutting wood to specifications, assisting in pack up and set up of site, general cleaning and cleaning of the equipment and helping customers with their enquirers. While working here I had to learn how to safely use powered machinery such as saw blades and angle grinders.

During my year at the butchers I spent most of my time cleaning the fridges, floors and equipment. During this time I gained an excellent knowledge on how to maintain the cleanliness of a site and have a good understanding on health and safety procedures, including how to safely handle food. Once I had been trained up I had a well enough understanding of the job to help train new hires, this gave me a chance to work on my leadership and communication skills.
