Currently employed by Geoff Mason Stonescapes (yet another legend) as a stone mason 2 days a week as well as running my own structural landscaping jobs 3-4days with markets still on Saturday selling my art.
I was managing an average of 30 staff for nearly 5 years. I created a product and business plan and my good friend and ex wife followed through on those plans to create a lmanufacturing facility that was serving the community through some tough times in COVID,
After a downturn in luxury sales I shut the company last year and have been focussing mostly on new experimental artistic installations and products and and enjoying a short period in the vege patch :)
I began my market journey with simple wire wraps and timber features made from old eumundi train line material, and with a quickly developed passion I won best new market stall for Parkside and was featured in two local papers for my jewellery. I favour the big bold artistic pieces!
Had the honour of joining Patrick Gunderson at the ‘great Australian Amethyst mine’ as they are calling it in the new outback crystal hunters tv show, and being one of the first few people to see into the cave system that become the largest ever amethyst geode in Australia!
I brought back 1.6tonne of amethyst from that dig.
A venture into running multiple market stalls while training and managing artists, stock levels and larger cashflow taught me a lot after only managing small teams of labourers prior to this,
I chased Patrick Handley (Australia’s best pond and natural swimming pool builder) for a number of months before getting a call to join his team on a natural pool build in cairns.
After that I finished up my own landscaping g jobs to join his team on builds around the country,
Patrick is responsible for lake Gkula in Woodford, the WORLDS largest lined natural swimming pond and it was and still is an honour to call him a friend and mentor.
I was employed by local legend lifestyle coach, Chinese medicine man and international author Jost Sauer as predominantly a medicinal cook.
Duties also included general maintenance e and even an artist renovation turning the clinic into a Chinese apothecary including a mosaiced Yin Yang slab and full outdoor training space.
