In my role as a Shift Supervisor, I developed a comprehensive skill set in customer service and team management. I was responsible for supervising staff, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a high standard of service. My duties included resolving customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with part searches. I also managed the installation of wipers, batteries, and globes, as well as conducting battery testing. Additionally, I oversaw cash handling and float counts, ensuring accuracy and accountability. I played an active role in maintaining store cleanliness and organization, assembling click-and-collect orders, and contacting customers to ensure satisfaction. I also coordinated product sourcing from other locations to meet customer needs, demonstrating my ability to multitask and manage store operations effectively.

As an apprentice heavy diesel mechanic, I gained hands-on experience in a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of heavy motor vehicles and trailers. I was responsible for picking up and delivering parts, ensuring timely service delivery. I also took on the essential task of cleaning and organizing the workshop, contributing to an efficient and safe working environment. My technical duties included performing A-level services on heavy motor vehicles and C-level services on trailers, as well as conducting general repairs on both trucks and trailers. I assisted in rebuilds and reseals on prime movers, further developing my mechanical skills. Additionally, I was involved in the removal and application of brake shoes for trailers and body trucks, as well as assisting with radiator removal and application. Throughout my apprenticeship, I consistently supported general maintenance activities on heavy motor vehicles, which helped strengthen my understanding of complex systems and mechanical operations.

As a delivery driver at Pizza Hut, I developed strong customer service and time management skills while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers. I was responsible for handling cash transactions, ensuring that all payments were processed accurately. In addition to my delivery duties, I worked efficiently in the kitchen during busy periods, maintaining composure in a high-pressure environment, to help ensure orders were prepared and dispatched on time. I also contributed to the overall cleanliness of the establishment, performing general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organized workspace. This role enhanced my ability to multitask, work under pressure, and deliver excellent service in a fast-paced setting.

As a Kitchen Hand at The Burrito Bar, I was responsible for efficiently filling food orders and assisting with cooking, ensuring that all dishes met the restaurant’s quality standards. I played an integral role in end-of-shift cleaning and general housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Working closely with other staff members, I contributed to a collaborative team atmosphere, ensuring smooth kitchen operations. I also developed strong communication skills, successfully overcoming language barriers to ensure clear and effective interaction with colleagues. Thriving in a busy, fast-paced environment, I was able to maintain a high level of performance under pressure. Additionally, I took on the responsibility of training new staff members, helping them to adapt to the kitchen’s processes and standards, further enhancing the team’s overall efficiency and performance.
