Drive tinny for my crayfish diver on the various reefs within the Torres Strait, picking up diver with his bag of crays, a monthly catch mostly 800kg plus when the weather and sea conditions are in our favour,we all share the responsibilities with each for the cleaning and processing of crayfish tails for the sale of our products.

Doing different tasks, mainly for the health, growth and well being of the live pearl shells, tasks involved include lifting rope line onto winch and roller, throughout my position as a deckhand I would share the the different roles and responsibilities with other deckies,so that all deckies learns the task and techniques that are required for each task, some tasks involved are to carefully and gently with a wooden hammer clean the barnecals off pearl shells and baskets, replacing ropes depending on length and condition and if pearl shell baskets needs replacing are replaced but beyond repair baskets dumped at appropriate waste management area, and broken baskets are for repairs, repair work as well as new baskets are made when the sea weather is not safe to work.
