Senior Regulatory Analyst – Gaming Operations

  • I review and evaluate new gaming schemes, concepts, products and business systems for introduction to Queensland with a focus on the operator's financial and operational systems; develop rules regulating the conduct of gaming; review major licensee corporate documentation relating to the regulation of liquor and gaming; and develop policies relating to regulated gaming operations.

Senior Review Officer - Victim Assist

  • In this role, I managed a caseload of approximately five hundred racial discrimination claims lodged with the Australian Human Rights Commission against the Queensland Government in relation to the prior administration of the 2012 Redress Scheme
  • This included assessment of claims, gathering of historical information, and consulting with high level officers from across government
  • I also represented the department at conciliation conferences where settlements were negotiated with claimants' legal representatives
  • In addition, I processed all payments concerning claim settlements and legal fees, and prepared monthly financial reports, briefs and policy advice.

Team Leader - Victim Assist

  • In this role I led a team of information officers responsible for responding to enquiries from Victim Assist clients regarding financial assistance, offender debts, referral to support services, and receiving and recording applications and related documentation to support assessor functions
  • Further to these duties I implemented policies and procedures to support day to day operations of the call centre and ensured appropriate induction and training of inexperienced staff.
