I started with Custom steel fab in april 2023 as a contractor for Mount isa mines at the copper concentrator for breakdown crew for 9 months on a 7/7 roster. In january 2024 i changed from breakdown crew to planned maintenance and currently in my 2nd year working on the crew for this department on a 3/1 roster. My duties for these roles include:


  • Maintaining a clean work environment by following established housekeeping procedures, reducing hazards and ensuring worker safety.
  • Increased productivity with the timely replacement of worn parts and maintaining optimal machine conditions.
  • Provided reliable support for emergency breakdowns, minimizing production delays and losses due to unplanned downtime.
  • Displayed strong problem-solving skills by swiftly identifying and implementing solutions to address mechanical malfunctions or breakdowns.
  • Contributed to project completion by assembling, fitting, and aligning complex mechanical components accurately.
  • Documented all completed jobs meticulously in accordance with company policies to ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference or audits purposes.
