Over see all service and production operations of a 20+ person team, ensuring sage and effective service delivery
Assist with the development and implementation of sharepoint based systems
In depth knowledge of WHS acts and legislation and ISO accreditation requirements
Implement company policies and procedures and be accountable for department compliance
Ensure the production team is appropriately staffed with the
required skills to service clients.
Identify high-potential employees and employees suitable for
promotion and work with Management to ensure they are
appropriately recognised, engaged and developed.
Ensure new employees are inducted and appropriately tested
(medical testing etc) in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure all team members are provided with appropriate training
and development.
Undertake counselling and performance management procedures as required, in accordance with company procedures.
Under direction from Management, monitor product and service
delivery within Service & Production to ensure that the QHSE
Management System is achieving desired and intended result.
Assess large production and/or service quotes to ensure realistic
pricing and consideration for resource availability and “true cost” of service.
Encourage growth into new markets and expansion within existing markets, including implementing growth strategies as directed by Management.
Maintain training and operational records as directed.
Assist with developing and documenting work procedures.
Manage wire rope and lifting equipment inspection and installation jobs onsite as required
Plan and prioritise wire rope work, and oversee the execution of
work, including working with the Service Coordinator and
Workshop Supervisor to ensure work is scheduled appropriately.
Ensure production, repair, inspection, testing, and installation of
wire rope slings and lifting equipment is conducted in accordance with work procedures and standards, including personally performing these tasks as required.
Lead high risk/high value rigging jobs on clients site, locally and remotely.
Monitor and administer training and conduct preliminary
competency assessment for Service Technicians on specialist
wire-rope competencies – determining readiness for formal
assessment.
Raise requisitions for wire rope equipment and consumables as
required and within Certex Lifting purchasing policies and
procedures.
Support the Sales and Customer Service team to quote on
technical wire rope services beyond the scope of their knowledge.
Manufacture, inspection and testing of lifting equipment in house, onsite and remote onsite as per the requirements of in house procedures, Australian standards and NATA requirements
