  • My current role has allowed me to gain experience reading plans for residential lighting and power circuit installs, along with cooking and heating appliances.
  • Tested electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Repaired faulty or damaged components on existing electrical systems.
  • Performed preventive maintenance procedures on electrical systems.
  • Replaced defective circuit breakers, fuses, switches, outlets, lighting fixtures and other components as needed.

  • My role at Petro Industrial was as an Electrical Apprentice in the Industrial sector.
  • My field experience is split into two areas: FIFO work at a central Queensland mine, completing bulk fuel storage and dispensing projects.
  • This role includes the installation of control structures and cabling for electric motors, and switching equipment for the operation of the dispensing pumps.
  • I was required to complete job fit assessments, including drug and fit-for-work tests.
  • I was also required to work with onsite supervisors, adhering to strict WHS policies and procedures.
  • The second part of my role included in-house fabrication of switchboards, following circuit and wiring diagrams, the installation of support structures and control cabling for electric motors, isolators, and switching controls.
  • I have successfully completed several qualifications while in my current role, including a High Risk work license and an Open Cut mine General induction, along with over 100 site-specific Standard operating procedure modules.

  • Previous to my Electrical Career, I worked in the construction industry, Cert 3 Qualification, including 10 years working on some of Brisbane's largest infrastructure roles for tier one builders, in work groups of up to 50 staff.
