Summary

I consider myself a reliable, diligent and highly driven person who endeavours to work hard and achieve in all aspects of life. I am continuously focused on providing optimal support to clients through personalised assistance and the social intelligence required to manage diverse working conditions. My University degree combined with my versatile employment history has enabled me to become a conscientious, hard working individual with excellent interpersonal skills; which can be catered to multiple different types of people. This therefore allows me to work very well in a team environment as well independently. My past role as a carer shows my commitment to not shying away from unfamiliar challenges and my ability to adapt and perform in uncomfortable situations.

This role in particular has drastically improved my communicational skills and allowed me to develop an empathetic persona in which people feel comfortable around.

I stopped working due to my desire to travel around South East Asia for 4 months to embrace new cultures and to enjoy new experiences. I am now looking for a role in Australia with my 12 month holiday working visa. I hope to formed a great bond with my future employer and extend my visa at the end of this time frame.

Work History

Carer

Kingfisher Court Care Home
01.2020 - 12.2023
  • began working as a carer during the Coronavirus pandemic. This meant that I cared for disabled residents throughout this time, having to be ready at all times to cater to their needs. This involved washing, cooking and taking care of them at all times to ensure a comfortable and safe environment. This in turn provided me with the opportunity to work outside of my comfort zone on independent and group tasks with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.

Receptionist

Meadowside Leisure Centre
01.2017 - 01.2019
  • Working as a receptionist required proficiency across a wide variety of day to day tasks, ranging from dealing with raising company sales, facilitating an attractive front of house environment, software competency and solving customers’ requests and complaints. I had to ensure customer satisfaction was unfaltering, made possible with effective communication with the regular customer base and the team within the centre. Membership sales was a crucial part of my role. Face to face meetings with potential clients meant that mature and persuasive language was vital when marketing and selling to these clients.

Customer Service Representative

TGI Fridays
01.2018 - 01.2019
  • This role was massively built on customer satisfaction. Every aspect of this job was geared towards making the service as trouble free as possible while ensuring high quality. Problem solving was a key part of the daily service, ensuring any complaints or requests made by consumers were met with a solution which was satisfactory for the customer. As well as this dissemination amongst the team was necessary to execute a successful service.

Cricket Coach

Sarisbury Cricket Club
01.2014 - 01.2019
  • Being a level 2 coach included the organisation of structured sessions created to maintain the interest of young players. While fulfilling this role it was pivotal to cater specific activities to everyone involved to guarantee satisfaction from the session. Interaction with the players and parents was very important when establishing myself as a young but suitable mentor for these players.

Hobbies and Interests

One of my main interest is exercise. I enjoy going to the gym and running as I value living a healthy lifestyle. Going to the gym always starts the day out right, and I feel makes me a lot more productive; relieving any stress and facilitating a clear thought process.

Another interest of mine is reading. I particularly enjoy autobiography’s of individuals that inspire me to better myself. I find reading a good way to wind down after a long day while simultaneously expanding my vocabulary.

Finally, I am a passionate cricketer. Having played county standard from u13 to u16. Playing sport has always been a main factor in being a positive individual and this was transferred to all aspects in life. Moreover, playing team sport may also be partially responsible for me working well in a team in an academic or working environment.
