Work History

Project Member

UQ Pro Bono Centre
08.2023 - 12.2023
  • I have been closely working with a small selection of students to complete our current pro bono project: the Working Women Queensland Literature Review. Through group work and intensive research we have been compiling a literature review in order to help the community better understand the nuanced issues facing women aged 45+ in the workforce. We have also effectively used a variety of Office and other programs in order to communicate, complete tasks, and share progress with one another.

Student Learning Experience

Townsville Community Law
01.2023 - 01.2023
  • The tasks I completed during my work experience opportunity at Townsville Community Law Centre included observing sessions with clients, note-taking and digitally recording information, handling sensitive documents, photo copying and filing, and assisting with researching, collating, and drafting relevant legal information to be provided to clients.

Volunteer

St Vincent De Paul Society
01.2021 - 12.2022
  • I participated predominantly in the Vinnies Buddies Day Program, which provides disadvantaged children, aged 8-12, with a cost-free, fun, and safe day out. My responsibilities primarily included supervision, leading activities, assisting with organisation and planning, engaging with the children, resolving conflicts, basic food preparation, and clean up duties.

Tutor

St Patrick's College Townsville
07.2021 - 11.2022
  • Over this period, I tutored two students (Years 8 and 9) in Mathematics. One progressed from a C grade level to achieving excellent results of As and Bs. The other student, originally sitting at a D grade level, attained strong passing marks. I worked with these students to provide a positive and encouraging learning environment, assist them in completing homework tasks and assignments, identify areas of improvement, and foster self-confidence and a motivation to learn. I also regularly met with their parents to discuss their progress.
