I have developed my skills in the switchboard building industry while working with Trivantage and I have been promoted to an electrical leading hand.

Some of the task and skills I have preformed here include:

• Working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Switchboard layout and fit-out
• Electrical wiring
• Measuring and installing bus bar
• Fault finding
• Electrical testing
• Reading and understanding electrical schematics and electrical single lines
• Identified issues, analyzed information and provided solutions to problems.
• Ordering materials to complete the project
• Attending weekly production meetings
• Communication between project manager and electrical designers to deliver the product
• Managing a team of electricians and apprentices to complete projects on time
• Managing and training apprentices so they come out of there time competent

While working with KK Electrical contracting on the Quest Hotel at Cannon Hill, I preformed such tasks as:

• Wiring/roughing in lighting, power circuits and Data
• Fitting off rooms, lights, kitchens, power points and data points
• Fitting off Distribution Boards
• Fitting off hallways and stairs, lights and power points.

Working with Dornan Engineering I was part of the temporary power crew, I would be the First on the Job site and the last to leave the job once hand over is complete. I worked on large scale project such as google data centre and twitter.

Some of the task I preformed are:

• Installing cable containment, trunking, conduit, cable tray, cable ladder and cable basket
• Pulling in Cables such as, swa cable, lighting circuits, power circuits, data cable, fire Alarm cable
• Installing floor boxes and fitting off
• Fitting off control panels
• Fitting off main distribution boards
• Fitting off fire alarm panels
• Fitting off security equipment
• Electrical testing
• Shut Downs

While working at PayPal for DC comms for this short period of time, working 12 hours a day to get the job over the line I performed tasks such as:

• Full containment fit out of offices and Comms rooms
• Pulling in Data Cable and fitting off
• Pulling in mains SWA cable and fitting off
• Installing and fitting off lights
• Installing and fitting off power points

While working with Nocon Electrical I performed tasks such as:

• Supervisor role, working with 3 apprentices from start to finish, full fit out
• Installing containment trunking, tray and conduit
• Marking up walls and floors for power points, data points and lights
• Wiring DALI lighting systems
• Wiring up AHUs with power and control.

During this time with Sher Electric I started and completed my apprenticeship. As we were a small company of about 8 people, it was full steam ahead from day one for me.

It was a great place to learn the trade.

I worked on a number of projects throughout the years with Sher Electric and completed various tasks on different projects some of the projects I worked on are:
