Summary

After many years working in the Television and Film industry in Australia I moved from Australia to the USA in February 2011. Since the move, I have worked independently on real estate remodelling and many volunteer projects including, but not exclusive to, the production of the Admission video for Marin Primary & Middle School and the 8th Grade Graduation video 2015. I produced, wrote and directed on Final Cut ProX. Beyond my personal experience with horses I believe strongly in their therapeutic power, to that end I now serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors for Giant Steps - the largest and most successful Equine Therapy program in California, based out of Sonoma Horse Park @ Petaluma this was an incredible and valuable experience, meeting with clients who are propounding benefiting from this program. I also own a horse, and working with trainers to develop this young horse has been an amazing experience.

  • I have implemented an iphone application for the organization, which is used by key personnel. It is an electronic calendar/diary and enables us to enter and share information on appointments, meetings and deadlines.
  • As I left Blackfella Films to move to the US, I spent time prior to my departure assisting the directors to plan for the ongoing development of their business. This involved documenting position descriptions and creating formal performance measures for new staff. Blackfella Films has continued to grow and prosper, and the foundations were solid.

Senior Promotions Producer

Sydney, Australia
01.1995 - 01.2003
  • In this start up role, I was charged with the establishment and development the Foxtel brand in Australia. Flagship channels included World Movies, History Channel, Fox 8 and Fx. In the initial period, there were no commercials on the channel and no local content.

I would then edit the material to go live to air, liaising with graphic designers and with sales departments to ensure the best possible product went to air.
  • During the 1992 Sydney bushfires I was on call around the clock to produce ongoing promotional updates of the breaking news.

Project Manager

Astro Television Malaysia
, Malaysia
01.2003
  • I was employed to develop a training program for young, Malaysia-based promotional producers. The objective of the project was to improve the writing and production skills of the group.
  • Challenges of the role: promotions in Malaysia are designed for five different cultural groups and languages: English, Malay, Cantonese, Bahasa and Hindi.
