With a proven ability to learn, including completing a master’s degree in international relations at the well-regarded Metropolitan University in Prague, I have continued to acquire new knowledge and learn new skills. After undergoing new studies in Australia and a period working in the aged care system, I focused my energies on a career in counselling and understanding mental health issues. Working at the Lifeline Suicide Help Line I elevated my English level and expertise in verbal communication as all contact was by phone. Training was high quality and helped me develop non-judgemental skills without projecting my own experience or opinion in high stress crisis situations. My multicultural sensitivity, combined with a track record of fostering high-performing teams, positions me as a dynamic candidate adept at adjusting to new situations and work environments. My experience in varied roles and travel around the world has encouraged me to keep an open mind and find unique solutions to problems that arise in varied situations.
I come from a diverse background being born in Russia and growing up in Crimea and then the Czech Republic from the age of 7 This gave me a curiosity to travel and experience new cultures and I have lived in a number of different countries including America, Egypt and France before settling in Australia My ability to speak multiple languages has been beneficial in my work, which included aged care looking after dementia patients who often regress to their native language
