In my time at Tully SHS I have taught classes from grade 7 to 12 in a variety of subjects including Business, History, Social and Community Studies, Maths and HPE. My teaching areas are in Humanities predominantly Business and History. I have taught certificate level I, II and III in Business and Tourism and I hold a current TAE. I have lead the year 9 and 10 History teaching teams since 2022 and have lead the Business program at the school since I arrived in 2020.
In 2023 and 2024 I have also taken on the role of year 10 coordinator. This role involved monitoring students attendance, wellbeing and career progress. In this role I have lead career expo excursions, completed SET Plan interviews and facilitated a Short Course in Careers program through Qlearn. I have engaged with parents in a range of settings including information nights, via meetings and phone.
I have recently completed training to lead the Duke of Edinburgh program for year 10 students and will be delivering the Duke of Edinburgh course during 2024.
During my second year at Tully SHS I was nominated for the Noreen Wilcox Award for beginning teachers.
