I am a dedicated, hardworking first year plumbing apprentice and I want to complete my apprenticeship and learn lots of new things. I have good listening, problem solving and organisational skills which can benefit the work environment I am in.
At City Circle Plumbing, I assisted my boss with roofing, drainage, rough ins and fit off in new and renovated homes. In this time we mainly did a lot of drainage work and by doing this, I learned how to dig trenches and lay stormwater drains for the house. I would also organise my boss’s inventory and make sure everything was clean. During this, I became responsible when I worked and it made me make a lot less mistakes when working.
When I worked in Rodd and Gunn, I learned about customer service and how to develop a good relationship with your clients. Rodd and Gunn always had targets and I had to make sure I made them by providing good customer service with good quality products.
At BP, we had daily tasks of looking after the petrol station. This included, cleaning, restocking, serving customers, and even making coffee and other food items. We also had to deal with issues of oil spills and I learned the responsibility and procedure of dealing with those issues.
This was my first ever job. I had responsibilities such as, cleaning, restocking, serving customers, cooking fresh meats and handled deliveries. I learned a lot about customer service in this job and it laid a great foundation for the work experience I have today.
