Highly motivated and dedicated university student with over eight years of customer service experience and a proven track record of effective communication, time management, and problem-solving. I am also a motivated third-year Medical Radiation Science student at the University of Canberra with demonstrated experience across four clinical placements in urban, rural, and tertiary settings. Proficient in I-MED Radiology systems and protocols through multiple placements. Competent in trauma radiography, theatre procedures, CT, and fluoroscopy. I am passionate about delivering exceptional customer care and maintaining professionalism in dynamic environments. My experience in customer-facing roles has equipped me with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.
This was my first clinical placement and introduction to I-MED Radiology’s operations. I was trained in basic general radiographic projections such as chest, abdomen, wrist, and feet, while developing foundational patient interaction and positioning skills. This placement helped me build confidence and form the essential professional habits that have continued to grow with each subsequent placement.
Cootamundra Hospital (NSW)
My Second placement at Cootamundra Hospital, a rural site, allowed me to take on a more independent role. I performed a variety of imaging procedures, including more complex trauma projections of the limbs and spine. The rural environment taught me the importance of strong interprofessional relationships, as close collaboration with staff was vital to daily operations.
Royal Darwin Hospital
At Royal Darwin Hospital, a major trauma centre, I was challenged with a high volume of emergency cases and a wide range of complex trauma imaging. I worked confidently in theatre settings, assisting with mobile imaging and adapting to the demands of an acute care environment. This placement sharpened my ability to recognise pathologies efficiently and work under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach. Importantly, I developed strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in my care for First Nations patients, and enhanced my ability to communicate respectfully and effectively in diverse cultural contexts.
I-MED Radiology – The Wesley Hospital (QLD)
Currently completing my fourth clinical placement at I-MED Radiology’s Wesley Hospital site, I’ve been exposed to a fast-paced private radiology setting with advanced imaging techniques. Here, I’ve had the opportunity to assist in CT imaging, including a CT cystogram, and gain valuable hands-on experience with fluoroscopy procedures such as barium swallows and contrast studies. This placement has solidified my familiarity with I-MED’s systems and has deepened my desire to pursue a career within this leading organisation.
