Professional summary:

I have worked in the security industry for approximately 13 years, in that time I have gained significant experience in both, operational support and leadership roles for various corporate clients responsible for critical infrastructure assets and premium grade commercial assets based in QLD.


I have a background in access control, monitoring and crime prevention, detection and response. I have an extensive knowledge relating to physical security operations and frameworks, and more recently, experience working full time in high security data centres.

This has peaked my interest and shifted my focus to the cybersecurity space.


Qualifications:

In addition to a certificate 3 in Security Operations I have completed introductory certifications for; Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and Security Management.

I am currently participating in the Google Cyber Security Professional Certificate through Coursera, as a preparation for the CompTIA Security+ exam.

I am familiar with the NIST cybersecurity framework and information security standards (ISO/IEC 27001)


I have completed tasks using SIEM tools and data analysis tools in mock scenarios to identify and respond to security incidents.


I am currently employed as the security supervisor of a data centre (physical security), I am looking for opportunities to join a team of cyber security professionals to continue learning and get functional, hands on experience.
