CSA Survey data demonstrates that the ‘Christian’ aspect of the education at Christway has ‘increased’ since the last survey and that parents rate the school as more Christ centred than previously
I have guided staff to make improvement in the ‘academic’ component of the educational offering to the point where Christway was compared with Haileybury in the Herald and we have achieved the best Naplan results in then life of the College
Fostering a positive work environment with staff by setting the tone and following through with initiatives and with behaviour management strategies
I have deliberately limited the initiatives where previously lots were started but none embedded. Initiatives have only focussed on high impact teaching and learning strategies
I have tried to prioritise each individual’s wellbeing and made it a constant focus to encourage them to look after themselves and talked to them about how to streamline their roles and encouraged them to also reflect this to their staff
Surveys conducted by both CSA and ISV have shown that our parents feel a strong sense of engagement with the school and feel welcomed and connected, we rate more highly than similar independent and Christian schools (66% of parents reported an excellent/good connection to and engagement with the school, compared to 56% for similar schools)
Enrolments have grown steadily in each of the last 3 years
